Happy Birthday Sis
Today is my sis' birthday, so this picture is for her since I can't celebrate it with her - again (for the 3rd year now). The idea came spontaneously as my husband and I were just sitting back and relaxing after a rough day, with a glass of good wine.

Tough Month...
I know I haven't been blogging for some time now. Things have not been well for us all here, and we are now busy organizing stuff in the garage for a garage sale later in the summer. A neighbor friend's brother died suddenly last week tragically, something hard even for me to accept, as I see him occasionally. I cannot imagine the pain and sorrow they must be feeling right now. I could not even enjoy my Sunday Easter dinner thinking about them. May he rest in peace, and God bless!

Snow in Kennesaw
I woke up last weekend, to the beautiful snow outside my window. Coming from a tropical country, snow excites me every single time. I dragged my husband who was still sleeping off the bed, and out we went, to the deck. It wasn't really cold, but the snow just kept pouring down. It was so beautiful. Knowing that Atlanta doesn't snow much, I took the opportunity to snap some pics. This is probably the only snow we will see this winter.

Chocolate Cake in a Mug
If you're like me, who never bake in her life, but still crave for a piece of chocolate cake from time to time, here's a simple recipe to try. It's easy and very quick to make!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 4 tablespoons flour
- use whole wheat flour for a healthier alternative
- 1 egg
- 4 tablespoon of sugar
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 3 tablespoons water
- 3 tablespoon of milk
- Pinch of salt
- Grease the inside mug with cooking spray
- Measure and pour the dry ingredients into the mug. Stir ingredients with a spoon.
- Crack the egg and add it into the mug. Stir to get the egg incorporated in the dry ingredients.
- Stir and beat everything together to get a cake batter mix. Use your spoon to scrape the bottom. Fold the bottom mixture onto the top a few times to get all of the dry ingredients (chocolate powder and flour) moistened and incorporated with the wet ingredients (water, egg, and oil).
- Microwave on high for 3.5 minutes. Timing may be different for various watt amounts.
- Watch as the cake rise while in the microwave. This is the fun part ;)
- Be careful with hot mug while removing it from the microwave.
- Remove cake from mug. Cut the cake to cool it down faster.
- Garnish cake with ice cream or syrup
- Bring it over to tv and enjoy!
p/s: Because it's so easy to make, you might be making it 2-3 times a week. Don't blame me if you gain weight because of it!

Making Bread
This weekend, we decided to bake our own bread instead of buying wheat bread every week (too expensive). This is the outcome, and we were all so proud of it that I took pictures of it. It's just as good as the ones at the grocery stores, and it's healthier too cos we know what we put in it. We stored it in the freezer so that it will last longer.
